Time to Get Silly
Feb. 27th, 2019 09:40 amPlay is important, not only for young children, where it forms the basic means of acquiring knowledge, but for adults as well.
Play allows us to explore and discover, to create.
Yet even play requires rules.
Today write a serious sounding poem to or about (choose):
- your toothbrush
- a potato
- gum stuck on the sidewalk
- a bent fork
- your wallet or purse
- one of your fingers or toes
- the letter C
- the note B flat
- a broken mug
- a bus
You can choose any non-silly poetic form (for example, don't use limericks). The poem should be farcical in nature, elegantly dressed.
