Cats

Last night, while I was minding my own business reading on my couch, my cat, or I should say my daughter's cat, crawled up behind me on the back and began digging her claws into my hair.

"STOP!" I pushed her away and yelled at her. I had come from the shower and, for reasons I don't quite get, my cat is especially attracted to my hair then. Usually she isn't so bad, but this time she hurt me.

Today, as I was sitting down at the computer, my cat jumped on my keyboard. "DOWN!" I lifted her up and put her on my lap. Offended by not being permitted to write this blog for me, she jumped off my lap and went upstairs.

Cats. Dogs. Kids (hi sweeties). Spouses (hi hubby). If you started listing all the grief one gets from them you would start to wonder why you brought them into your life in the first place!

But of course there are tens of thousands of reasons that you want and need them in your lives. Their cuddles, their sweetness, their support, their loves. Daily they give you back, ten times for all they "take".
