Is there a little judge in your mind who evaluates others?
The judge looks and condemns others without knowing any details about the person, or the situation they find themselves in.
I often was curious why the elderly seemed to mismatch their clothes so often. I would see neatly dressed men and women, clothes clean, pressed, etc, wearing a mix of patterns or colors that simply didn't work together. Perhaps it had to do with their vision. Their visual acuity decreased and so what was obvious to others wasn't to them.
I was going out for a walk, and when I got out in the light I realized my skirt was stained. I went back in and changed the skirt. Then I realized the shirt wasn't matching the skirt so I changed the shirt. I went out and realized that it was colder than I thought it was and added a shirt. Then I realized...well I forget what I realized, only that I changed my shirt times, but in my rush and with multiple changes I forgot that the skirt was different than I first had on (we have no full length mirror in the house). By the time I set out nothing matched.
And maybe that was it.
Recently there was a viral photo of a woman with a cane walking about using her phone. How can you be blind and use a phone?
Well, one can. I've seen these phones in use, it is remarkable.
When have you misjudged a situation? How can you pull away from the misjudgment, and open your mind to the facts?
